Beach Lady Amelia has one of those styles that everyone comments on. The base figure is stylised in a way that’s going to work quite well for people who’re after something just a bit different - maybe if they’re not into the traditional art-doll, but still want a feminine piece with some elegance. Our artisans made this one out of resin and the finish is slightly glossy but there’s this nice sense of movement in her limbs, too. Amelia stands tall at 37cm (width and depth are 7.5x7cm so it’s not bulky at all) and she wears these classic black-and-white stripes with tailored shorts - we think the crop top, high-waisted look, and black shoes go beautifully with the white base she stands on.
The wide-brimmed hat has this bright red ribbon detail, which is such a bold pop of colour for something so understated. And we realise not all shoppers are after overtly feminine forms but the stylisation on her facial features gives it more versatility. The finish also isn’t super perfect (in a good way) - it’s polished with crisp paint lines but you get this slight hand-painted feel in places like the lips and hair; always adds character!
