Charming little cup. And right away, it just gives off that sort of East Asian antique teaware thing with the blue-on-white motif. There’s a lot going on when you have a look at the detailed birds and flowers set in a serene garden scene - there’s so much old world flair here but with a touch of modern refinement coming through in the gold trim around the rim. It’s really one of those rare pieces that can work both as part of a larger collection for clients wanting something different, or just as statement cup for offices and kitchens. From a technical standpoint, it’s fairly robust at 13.5x10.5x7.5cm and it has quite a nice handle that fits in between three fingers pretty securely. And the only thing we’d add - this is by design - these are handmade porcelain cups which means you’ll see some variation in decal placement but that’s actually part of what brings out its uniqueness (as opposed to simply being mass-produced).
