This Cushion Galah brings a splash of that relaxed, sun-dappled Australian energy straight into any living area. It is that woven textile - thick and textured, but not rough - that gives the cushion its solid feel. It is those edges too, sharp and clean so you can stack or display it without losing shape. At 45x45cm, it is substantial enough to stand out without being obtrusive. The blue background is deep with this canvas-like structure - which almost sets up the birds and wildflowers as if they’re painted in acrylic rather than thread.
The design doesn’t fight with its own vibrancy either. Three birds in full colour – peach-pink, yellow-green – with a bit of feathery detail really bring out the fun here. They perch on these purple and pink wildflowers, and while it doesn’t scream ‘nature’, there’s this gentle woodland feeling about it that’s tough to replicate unless you’re doing a full birdwatcher’s cottage motif.
