Framed Canvas Cabanas Framed Canvas Cabanas feels to us like a hand painted seaside daydream. We say that because this is one of those prints where the paint - more than just the style of what’s being portrayed - is almost the focus. Strong lines, bold brushstrokes, and everything outlined in dark black gives this a pop-art effect which isn’t too harsh on the eyes. We love the way it all comes together as a slightly abstracted, hand-painted scene but with so much more going on behind the surface. The seven cabana huts along the bottom half are framed by open sky and with only slight hints of sailboats floating by in the distance. The original was painted on real canvas with real brushstrokes (we’ve seen one in person) and you can really tell in person from those bold, vibrant hues. The closest shade we could pin for each hut (from left to right) goes: red (vermilion), green (turquoise pine), teal (sea green), orange (ochre), yellow (banana yellow), blue (lapis blue), and blue-green (turquoise). And in between you’ll find plenty of hints of white sand beach, soft grey sky, deep blue sea, and even deeper forest green shoreline - all outlined in strong black lines to make the entire scene stand out. It’s a standout piece at 60x100cm and would do well as part of a feature wall or to fill an empty space or hallway where people might be passing by. The natural wood frame is pretty subtle but it does pair well with lighter accents so if your clients have any wood floors or lighter wooden furniture at home it might be worth mentioning that to them. The print is durable - since it's been made from canvas, pinewood, and finished with resin for a professional polish - but you’ll definitely want to find some wall space for these. As far as themes go we would have to place these somewhere between contemporary modern and coastal so there’s definitely a market for selling these during summer or around holidays. It’s definitely going to bring cheer into any room it ends up displayed in.
