The first time we unpacked our Glass Stem in Smoke Blue we just stood back for a moment - the smoke blue effect on the glass as you turn it in your hand has this beautiful silvery finish that catches the light at all kinds of angles. With a medium goblet shape measuring 7x7x19cm, it’s substantial enough to serve a good drop but not so heavy it feels awkward.
But what we truly enjoy about this piece is the way those intricate embossed details run all along the bowl, with even more geometric patterns near the bottom and florals up top - there’s something very vintage-inspired here, but still fresh enough to work in modern settings. We’d show off these glasses with other blue accents or some white and gold tableware for contrast. Our retailers love featuring them front and centre too.
These are handblown so expect slight irregularities and variances between batches - that makes each one a little more unique to its new owners. And it’s worth noting that while colours will differ batch to batch (as with most coloured glass), there’s no compromise on strength or durability thanks to the reinforced stem and glossy finish.
