This Heart Gold/White Bird? – It just instantly makes you smile. We set up a sample in the back office and nearly everyone walking past stopped to get a proper look - that’s saying something considering how much Christmas stock comes through here every season. The main thing here is the heart, right, that has a warmth about it but with those metal gold frames, there’s this slightly weathered appearance to it - not precious at all, so it doesn’t try too hard to blend in with everything around it. We’re seeing a resurgence in bringing more metallics into seasonal styling and the rougher finish has the added bonus of not showing dust or fingerprints. Then there’s that bird perched at the bottom centre - nicely painted with some brown details on the wing tips and tail for a bit of contrast and movement. The base gets holly leaves, evergreen sprigs, and pinecones so this is really all about Christmas but if you wanted it to sell year-round - paint over the Santa hat!
