The finish on this item is hand created so variations will occur. This is not classified as a fault.
That blue parrot is the first thing anyone notices. It’s hard to miss - right at the top, with all that feather detail and a lovely textured finish. The gold on the beak and around the eyes is a nice touch and contrasts well with the rest of the bird. And then your eye follows its long tail down to where it meets a gold pineapple, which is propped up by a gold branch, which itself sits on a round gold base. The antique finish on that base is really something and we find that people tend to gravitate towards it because of how unique this piece looks overall.

The King Parrot Majunga is made from resin but there’s something about how it’s been made that makes it look like something you’d find in an old museum somewhere. It’s 15x14x40cm so it takes up just enough space without being unwieldy or overbearing, but still has presence. We recommend using this as a centrepiece or as part of a set with other animal figurines from our shop.

We get a lot of figurines and home accents in our inventory, but every so often one turns up that’s got everyone running around in excitement. The King Parrot Majunga is just that - a showpiece that is unapologetically loud, sort of glitzy, and colourful in a way that feels like a statement from the first time you set eyes on it. It’s blue, gold, metallic and glossy with some really well-crafted details on the feathers and pineapple surface. And yes, it is large. At 15.5x13.8x40.5cm this isn’t going to go sit quietly in the background - it needs to be at the forefront of any retail display or setup. Because these are hand-finished, every single unit is going to have slight variations and quirks that make them special - which we find does better than all of those mass-manufactured items that tend to blend in as soon as they’re displayed.
