There's something about the Lamp Picchu Med that makes it stand out against all those other table lamps with harsh lines, no real softness, and nothing very inviting about them. The thing about this one is that the finish on the ceramic base has a textured look to it, and it's almost reminiscent of those homewares trends you get in English country estates, or even Mediterranean homes. The patterned vertical lines really draw the eye up so it feels like this lamp is more elegant and streamlined than others - not your regular mid-century table lamp.
The drum shade is similarly distinct; the way that it tapers at the top makes it so much easier to fit into rooms that don't get a lot of light from wider windows or glass doors because the linen diffuses it just enough for you to catch a relaxing glow at 6PM instead of getting blasted by harsh white light at noon. It measures 28x28x39cm and with its neutral hues - b'', which we realise sounds a little awkward but it's basically a muted tan - really lends itself to being part of just about any room style ranging from farmhouse chic to modern and contemporary.
