There's a calmness to the Lamp Waitangi Breeze that seems to settle a room, isn't there? We sometimes talk about 'wow' factor but that's not exactly it - it's much more of an 'ahhh'. It's got this textured terracotta base and muted blue-grey glaze (you'll notice there's some variation between every one, thanks to the reactive finish), so you get those lighter areas that give it all these variations throughout. Kind of like beach pebbles after rain. Slightly tactile when you run your hand across the dotted surface too.
We find the scale really works with 42x42x57cm for living rooms or master bedrooms where you want something confident but not overbearing on an actual table top. That fabric shade softens everything and lets in such diffused light - honestly just settles everything down at night time. And having that metallic trim at the neck is one of those little details that make all the difference for us as well - not overstated, but enough to get noticed by people who appreciate quality. We’d say this lamp is something our stockists could easily build any display around without being brash about it.
