Those rounded, low-profile pots are having a real moment right now but this one has a lot going for it. We’re talking about a really generous opening, an unusual squat shape, and this chunky look overall - we were a bit sceptical about bringing this in at first but then the designers told us about the capacity. It holds larger arrangements than you’d expect and the ceramic is thick enough to give it that solid, weighty feel.
There’s an almost cottagecore element to the hand-painted botanical motifs on these - they’ve gone for earthy green leaves and some greyish berries for contrast (hand-brushed too), and that glossy white finish with crackle texture is exactly what will catch your clients’ eye in different lighting. And we’ve noticed that people are paying more attention to surface textures now too, so that’s an interesting detail to point out.
And yes, because they’re a little more rustic than clean contemporary ceramics with perfect symmetry (each pot is slightly unique), these sit well in both contemporary and more traditional spaces - indoors or out. On their own or with arrangements.
