Rustic Reindeer with Star Light
There’s a lot going on in the Rustic Reindeer with Star Light - sometimes when there’s so much happening in one figurine it can get overwhelming or unnecessarily busy, but that’s not the case here. We find that there’s this harmony between the separate elements that the reindeer really does come together as a single cohesive statement piece. Now it doesn’t have to be the main event but if you’re after something for a shelf display, maybe a side table or an entryway console (honestly anywhere you’d set up candles and other little knick knacks), it fits right in.
The rounded egg-shaped body is finished in matte grey with that gold base and matching scarf, and the wooden head features oversized wire antlers and a star-shaped wire at the front. We’re talking about actual string lights on the star for that warm glow so it does double up as an ambient light source too. Not enough to replace lamps, but enough to make things interesting when things get dark outside. At 31x10.5x5.5cm these are taller than they are wide and will fit most shelves and console tops just fine. And because these use MDF instead of solid wood, they stay lightweight without being too delicate or fragile (there’s definitely some weight to them). Each unit uses 2 AAA batteries for the star string lights so you won’t have to worry about outlets either.
A note about finish on these - we’d say don’t expect each item to be exactly identical or perfectly proportioned because some parts are handmade like the block base and wooden head. That said - these look even better because of those little imperfections because they catch ambient light in unique ways that machine-made products can never replicate.
And while our photos show these as festive pieces (and they do fit a festive theme), we find that clients like how versatile they are with other abstract animal figurines particularly those featuring different finishes, textures, and accents - think stripes on marble bases, stripes on glass spheres, triangles with stone bases etc. There is potential for them to cross over seasons into autumn or spring displays too depending on what you pair them with. It’s a lovely piece even from far away if nothing else!
