There’s more personality here than you’d expect from a piece of iron. But it’s definitely a Sitting Duck, with its rounded body and that little upturned face. Something about this Sitting Duck statue is really comforting - maybe the classic duck shape or the patina that gives it a sense of history. Either way, it draws your eye and holds onto your attention for longer than you’d think.
Measuring 5x14.5x8.5cm, this statue has some weight to it without feeling unwieldy or making anyone worry about their glass cabinets or table surfaces. It has an old world appearance with a good amount of green and brown speckling on top of the oxidised iron, giving it a verdigris effect that never goes out of style. We like them as garden ornaments but also in large displays with plenty of trailing vines and flowers coming out around them, especially because the colour blends so well with any foliage placed nearby.
