Metal and rustic, this spike bird feeder is one for the fans of the old school. Shaped like a flower with some lovely, quaint detailing and an aged finish, it’s a wonderful alternative to regular planters.

The spike at the base is what does it for us; super simple to put in wherever - potted plant or garden soil, we’re imagining these looking quite interesting lined up down a walkway. And you can market them with plants or as themselves since they work both ways.

It’s not often we find garden pieces that don’t look a bit out of place when you put them in a mid-to-high end retailer display. Most of them are made to cater to outdoorsy types who aren’t really looking for something decorative, but more functional. This one is a nice way to do both though, and it’s just as affordable as it is practical. The design on this one has a deep bowl that’s been carved into a round flower with a small bird perched on the side that seems to catch most people’s eyes, and we think it’s got something to do with how natural it looks. And obviously, that’s going to make it fit right in if you’re looking for some outdoor-friendly pieces - especially since this is so easy to install and doesn’t take up too much space at 15x13.5x79cm. Made with cast iron, these do get heavy but not enough to make them hard to stock or even ship, if you’ve got an e-commerce store.
