Vintage table runners are an unexpected crowd favourite at the moment - which is surprising, even to us, but customers are just always looking for pieces that can double as both a statement and an understated element. Our Table Runner Vintage is made from polyester in 180x33cm, and we like that it’s a sort of between size that fits on smaller square tables without overlapping too much while still looking elegant on longer rectangular or oval surfaces.
The style combines classic damask-inspired shapes in sage green and blue on top of a white surface. We also really like the fringed ends which give it a more lived-in vibe instead of the highly finished ones you get with other runners. It’s double bordered for more clarity, but the main section of the pattern still feels loose and watercolour-inspired.
We’d pair this with dark green table linens if we’re feeling bold or even understated lace cloths if it’s going up in a store with more delicate homewares. This style makes these runners an obvious choice for centrepieces, but if you’re thinking of showing them off on store shelves, we’d encourage you to try them out layered with matching placemats or alternative prints in pastel shades!
