There’s a reason we’re always hearing more about how Australian design is all about playing with natural elements - some of our more popular modern vases, the Urchin range, take ocean inspiration and turn it into something that makes you stop and admire for a second. This medium blue Tidal vase hits that sweet spot between abstract and realistic, and we think a lot of that is down to those fine textural details which are made to mimic actual urchins.
The finishing here is mostly matte; you get sections with a powdery finish while other spots get a glaze over the texture. It’s not only visually interesting but gives your customers an actual tactile experience they can engage with in their homes.
Now, this is one of the smaller vases we offer at 13x13x9.5cm but it’s got enough visual interest and colour vibrance to make up for its size. These look great clustered together or displayed as singles along shelving units - we’d say they’re an easy favourite for modern offices or display studios.
