One of the things that’s tricky about artificial leaves is – well, you probably know this – how flat they can be. The leaf itself might look lifelike but if there’s nothing going on underneath, nothing much going for it. You see a lot of these in faux eucalyptus and rose stems – beautiful foliage, little volume. That’s something we never have to worry about with this stem though. It’s got a full bunch of velvet-textured leaves branching out from the middle, sometimes bunched up and sometimes trailing off on their own – just like the real thing. We’ve had some extra gold glitter touches put into the veins and edges to balance out the dark green tone and delicate hand-flocked textures, not so much that it overpowers, just enough to shine when everything else catches your eye. Each piece sits on a stem roughly 75cm long (not including drooping leaves). It comes in polyester with a plastic wire undercoat too so as long as they’re not being forced into weird shapes, we find them pretty forgiving.
